As a cleric, Mr. Cook served the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson in Hudson, MA, for nine years, and served as an interim minister in Portland, ME, as well as in Northampton and in Wellesley, MA. His service to First Parish will be the fourth placment in his career as a specialist in interim ministry.

Prior to entering the ministry, Mr. Cook was a joiner for Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers of Auburn, ME, and in the 1970's, was a fencing master and varsity fencing coach for Cornell University, as well as a member of the coaching staffs of the U.S. National and Olympic fencing teams. He reads widely in theology, history and poetry, and is a member of the Boston Saengerfest Men's Chorus. Mr. Cook lives in Charlestown, Massachusetts, and will be commuting to Scituate serveral days a week.

Director of Religious Education: Christine Bulman

A lifetime Unitarian Universalist, Christine finds that her experience within the fields of child development, family relations, and education are the perfect complement to the sphere of liberal religious education where she can indulge her passion for spiritual exploration, philosophy and wisdom from the traditions of the world. She believes that life is a spiritual journey from the beginning and that even as adults endeavor to guide children on this journey, they too can learn from the children along the way. In a society which endears itself to busy schedules and competing stimuli, we must take the time to foster our connection to that which is sacred both within ourselves and within our world and Christine believes that UU Religious Education is one way to do this. Having grown up in Scituate, she is happy to be serving the families of this community and looks forward to connecting with you and your family!

Musical Director/Organist: Beth Dubuisson

Beth Dubuisson was born in Rochester, New York in 1958. She married David Dubuisson in 1986 and began her own piano studio in Wayland. Since 1989, she has been a judge for the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She has been active in various local, state and national music teachers' associations. Beth currently teaches piano at her home in Duxbury.
