First Parish Church conducts a number of fundraisers throughout the year. The monies raised go toward causes such as the Memorial Garden, upkeep and repairs for the Church building, and to assist in supporting the ongoing work of the Church.
Our fundraisers are a necessary part of the stewardship of the Church. Yet they are also a wonderful way to also tap the many skills and talents within our church community, and an equal opportunity for building fellowship amongst our parish members.
Fundraising Activities
Annual Plant & Bake Sale
Our Plant and Bake Sale is an annual rite of spring in the community. Herbs, perennials, and fresh baked goods are on sale. The spring Plant and Bake Sale is always an opportunity for locals to swap stories and advice on everything from seedlings to secret recipes.
We have recently added a "Boot Sale" component to our Plant & Bake Sale. The "Boot Sale" is comparable to a multi-family yard sale, and toys and treasures abound!

Snowflake Fair
The Women's Alliance and the Unity Club work together to sponsor the Snowflake Fair in December. The fair is held on the first Saturday in December. It features natural Christmas wreathes and fresh cut greens, handicrafts, baked goods, antique/used items.
For young people there is a mystery room where they can buy inexpensive gifts for their parents. No parents are allowed in this room! Members create a variety of handicrafts that are sold at the fair to raise funds for programs in the church.
